Be sure to check out my books. Lots of nice gardening books and magazines in the mix. Sheilaby swilshire - Spring 2023 Want
Sorry for your loss. So nice that your mother lives on in the plants she has grown and shared. I'm always looking for any yellow tomato plants and any color of less common tomato varieties. I also have a kaleidoscope of iris, so happily adopt any color other than light purple. I'm bringing a lot of gardening books and magazines, cookbooks, and various other reading material.by swilshire - Spring 2023 Have
Brandon, Look forward to seeing you. I don't have anything that you'd likely be interested in to trade, but if you have any tomatoes left at the end of the day, we'd be glad to give them a good home. I thought about asking for a Thanksgiving cactus cutting, but I don't have a good record with indoor plants. Nice of you to offer. Sheilaby swilshire - Spring 2023 Have
Mary, I would love to have a Cherry-licious and/or tropical sunset tomato. Also interested in a Chocolate Beauty or other bell peppers. I'm bringing some nice gardening and cookbooks along with lots of magazines and smaller books. Thanks, Sheilaby swilshire - Spring 2023 Have
Strawberry Plants: My little patch perished in the bitter winter weather this year. Tomatoes: Unusual varieties or anything yellow. Bell pepper plants. Iris: Any color other than light purple. Or other bulbs for our random gardens. Redbud tree seedlings. Also interested in blackberry plants and azaleas (especially the dark pink). We lost one of our gardens last year. We're bringing a LOT of gardening books and magazines, cookbooks and miscellaneous. Some real gems in the mix. Not sure what else at this point. Still looking through the garden shed to see what we've forgotten we have. Look forward to seeing everyone. I don't think Stan is making cornbread salad this year, but he mentioned sausage balls. Glad to hear you'll make it this year. I would love Northern Blue iris and would happily adopt the mystery iris to add to my rainbow collection. I would also love to try the Boxcar Willie tomato and can always use a Cherokee Purple. Red cannas are welcome in my garden as well. Karin, I had to Google your tomato varieties. They all look amazing, especially the Willard Wynn. I'm always on the lookout for different varieties. I have several boxes of gardening books, cook books and other misc. reading material. Hope I have something you'd like. I'd happily take any variety of the tomatoes. They're my favorite summer food! Thanks. Sheilaby swilshire - Spring 2021 Have
I'm always interested in unusual varieties of tomatoes. I picked up a couple of pink tomato plants yesterday at the market. Sheilaby swilshire - Spring 2021 Have
KimC, My husband agreed that we have lots of cedars seedlings here on the farm, so thanks, but no thanks. I appreciate your suggestion and offer. I've lived here since the 70s with my nearest neighbor across the road more than 1000' away. I'm not looking forward to having a house right behind me. It's still unclear exactly where they are going to build the house. Sby swilshire - Spring 2021 Want
The lunch is always great fun, but probably better to skip one more year due to COVID concerns. Hopefully next year we'll be back to normal! Sheilaby swilshire - Spring 2021 Discussion
KimC, Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to ask my husband about the cedar seedlings. We probably have some here on the farm somewhere too. I hadn't really considered them, but it's a good idea. He's hoping to use trees that he can mow under since they won't be far from kudzu, so that might be an issue with cedars. That would be wonderful! We planted alternating Cleveland Pear trees and redbuds on our road side, but one or two of the redbuds didn't make it. I was going to look for a couple along side the woods to transplant. A good sized one would better match the ones that survived. Redbud is my all time favorite tree. I lost a really old one last year, which made me very sad. Look forward to seby swilshire - Spring 2021 Want
I am bringing garden books and some of them are probably older than 1970. Be sure to check them out. No trade required. I'm just letting go of some to make room for other books on my shelves. I'm a book lover. See you there. Sheilaby swilshire - Spring 2021 Want
Hi Kim, I'm bringing a lot of books --- gardening and cook books with a few random magazines and novels. I've spent a lot of time at home trimming down my bookshelves during the pandemic. Still working on it. Not sure I'll have any plants, but I told my husband to clean out the garden shed to see what we can share from there. The Kerria japonica is beautiful. Had to Google it. I don't think I've seen one of these. Sheilaby swilshire - Spring 2021 Have
I'm always open to most kinds of blooming plant. We are on a farm so don't have any space constraints. I've been gradually adding various colors of iris thanks to the generosity of the plant swappers and other friends. I have plenty of light purple, but am open to anything. I found clearance perennial violas at Walmart yesterday, but I love Johnny-Jump-Ups. I also love old roses.by swilshire - Spring 2021 Want
I don't have a lot to trade, but I'd love a hydrangea. I also keep adding iris if you wind up with any left. I planted some mystery colors last year, so I'm anxious to see what comes up. I'm bringing books and magazines (gardening, cookbooks and mags, and some misc). Also some leftover herb and veggie seeds. I'll be going through the garden shed to see what else needs aby swilshire - Spring 2021 Have
I’m glad to hear the books are being enjoyed. Thanks for the info on the shrub. We are finishing up planting everything today.by swilshire - Spring 2020 Have

I have quite a variety of both books and magazines - some nice, some old. Definitely some about houseplants. I think I'm up to 7 boxes total. I love books and can't resist buying them, but I've been trying to pare down my collection. Many of them came from McKays or estate sales. No trades necessary. Interested in any tomatoes or flowers you have left at the end of the swap. I will be bringing gardening books and cookbooks to share. We have typical tomatoes, but I love to try other varieties. Sheilaby swilshire - Spring 2020 Have
I'm game for the mystery apple trees if still available. Also the silver maple. Look forward to seeing everyone Saturday. Sheilaby swilshire - Spring 2020 Have
The Knotty Hemp Lady, I take all the redbud I can find if you have extras. I've lost most of my big ones through the years, so I keep adding small ones. They are my absolute favorite spring tree. Sheilaby swilshire - Spring 2020 Want
