I noticed a couple of people mentioning butterfly bush. I just wanted to point out that butterfly bush is a non-native, invasive species. While it appears to be beneficial to butterflies because they sip the nectar, it actually harms them (and all other wildlife) in the long run. Please take a look at this website:
https://www.rodalesorganiclife.com/garden/never-plant-butterfly-bush/slide/3

I hope everyone will consider planting native pollinators instead. Butterfly weed is a native alternative to butterfly bush. There are numerous other native plants that are both beautiful and beneficial. We have pollinator gardens with milkweed, butterfly weed, Joe-Pye weed, goldenrod, button bush, bee balm, brown-eyed Susan, iron weed, and many others. There are many online resources on this topic. The Native Plant Rescue Squad (https://www.nativeplantrescuesquad.com/) is a local organization that rescues native species and sells them at extremely low cost.

2018 plant swap

Hemerocallis, Daylily. Tall orange flower blooms late spring; perennial; loves sun. – 3 1-gallon pots (Traci)

Iris, bearded. Has white flowers with a purple hue that blooms mid spring. The perennial loves sun. – 3 1.5-gallon pots (SamanthaCobb), (Geni)

Sedum rupestre. Blue Spruce stonecrop is a low growing trailing variety with spectacular bluish foliage with conifer-like leaves. Full sun. Star-shaped flowers are usually in clusters or sprays that often change color throughout their bloom time. – 2 4”pots, 3 3”pots (Valerie C), (Ronnie)

Sedum ‘Lemon Ball’. This hardy stonecrop is very similar to ‘Angelina’ but with brighter chartreuse to lime green foliage and without the orange highlights in winter. The yellow spring flowers don’t show up well against the leaves but it makes a great accent in mixed containers or border foregrounds. Drought tolerant. Grows 4-5″ high by 10-12″ wide. Hardy to zone 3. – 2 3.5”pots, 1 4”pot. (Ronnie)

Geranium ‘Lemon Scented’. Perennial. Lemony scented when crushed or watered. Pink flowers for two to three weeks in the Spring after the tulips have blooms. Loose roots that are great for covering bulb beds. In spring it raises up to 18-24”. In the fall receeds back close to the ground and the leaves turn red. No fuss ground cover and very few weeds. Partial to Full Shade.. . – 1 4”pot (MaryS)

Ranunculus bulbosus, buttercup, perennial/bulb. This is a lovely east Tennessee wildflower. The stems are 20–60 cm tall, erect, branching, and slightly hairy flowering. There are alternate and sessile leaves on the stem. The flower forms at the apex of the stems, and is shiny and yellow with 5–7 petals. The flowers are 1.5–3 cm wide. The plant blooms from April to July. Foliage dies in the summer, but reappears in the fall. – 3 .5gal pots. (MaryS)

Rudbeckia triloba, Brown eyed Susan with short petals. This perennial wild flower is native to east Tennessee and North Caroline. H 2'-5', loves moist soils in full sun to part sun. Brilliant yellow flowers with black centers in Aug-Oct. Three-lobed leaves. Attracts butterflies and blooms until freeze. My original plant was a rescue by the local sunflower association and I have loved it. It may not bloom the first year, but is a champion bloom in the fall once established – 2 1gal pots. (Amy), (Ronnie) I can dig up more. (MaryS)

Please pardon me as I’m new to the swap party but very excited about it!

I will have 4 varieties of coneflowers, possibly five if I can get them all started healthy.
Purple, white swan, deep rose, and Cheyenne spirits. I’m also working on green twister and adobe orange, but their slow to start so I’ll have to let you know if I’ve got them to go.
I’m working on two varieties of rudbeckia.
Autumn and Irish Eyes
I also have patchouli I can start from cuttings, if interested
Young Jades probably about 4-6” tall
Trailing jade I can start cuttings from
Several varieties of geraniums all started from seed. Pink to white variety, appleblossom, and one picotee violet.
I have several streptocarpella cuttings that I can bring as well.
I may have some veggies to add to the list as hubby has started a massive amount of heirloom varieties to try and has had great germination this spring.
If anything sounds good, please let me know

Have a few outside plants:

(Taken)*Mystery climbing roses (2 bushes) which I believe are Climbing Angel Face. I ordered zepherine droughin, but was sent these. They produce fluffy, fragrant, mauve/lavender colored roses. I got them for a gate arch, so I didn’t want a thorn rose. I found zepherine this year, so I cut these off the arch and dug them up. They’re about 3 ft tall now, and very quick growers (easily grew 8 ft the 1st year). I saw Climbing Angel Face at Lowes last year, and it looks exactly like these. The nursery I ordered from also sells that variety, so I feel confident it’s a good ID.

*Winter hardy sedum. Grows about 3 inches tall, yellowish green, very vigorous grower.

I have lots of houseplants I can easily make cuttings and root. I’ll need to know in advance if anyone wants one, since I don’t intend to cut the plants otherwise.

Plants:
(Taken)*Monstera deliciosa- this is a small plant in dirt, not a cutting (please note baby plants do not have splits in the leaves, but it’s from my adult plants that has splits)
*Small kalanchoe (the normal kind you see at the grocery store)
*Mimicry plant— not the 1 that looks like rocks. It’s a small succulent. Was almost magenta when I bought it, but it’s green now. Maybe you can make it pink again?
(Taken)*Amaryllis bulb. Package said it was white, but it didn’t flower. Bulb is still green, but I cut the leaves off.
(Taken)*Lucky bamboo (so probably a dracaena). 2 stalks with leaves in a little Rock/water pot. Over 2 ft tall in pot.
(Taken)*Variegated lucky bamboo. 6 stalks braided together. About 19 inches tall in pot.
*might bring an Emina Fern. Very cool looking when I bought it, but this plant hates me. If you have a high humidity room (seriously, it is not a happy houseplant), I’d be happy to let you try it.
*might bring Calathea Fusion White. Another notoriously fussy plant. Also hates me. Is currently a tiny plant with 4 leaves. Needs high humidity, bright light, no direct light.
*Green/white variegated wandering Jew- this is handful of cuttings rooted well in dirt
*1 small variegated Bonnie (curly) spider plant babies

Cuttings:
*Possible monstera Adansonii or obliqua— it was labeled Swiss cheese vine
*Ficus pumila/creeping fig
*Goldfish plant
*Philodendrons:
Micans
Brasil
Green heart leaf
Grazielea
*Pothos:
Neon (not doing well with water propagation. I don’t think I have time to successfully make more)
Marble queen
Manjula (same issue as Neon)
Pearls and Jade
Satin/silver “pothos” (same issue as neon)
Also a few green stems that came from variegated pothos but reverted to solid green so I cut them out.

I’m also bringing tons of generic plastic pots. All sizes.
2 smaller ceramic pots:
*1 matte black with shiny black flower pattern (cherry blossoms maybe?). Has a built in saucer and drainage hole.
*1 Asian looking with interesting cutouts towards the top. Mustard colored. Has a large drainage hole.
