Well guys - 2021 has been a little rough on me. I've been under the weather and unable to garden very much so not sure what I'll have to trade. However, I am helping a friend establish a garden so I'll be there to beg for plant babies for her! LOL I want to put together a HUGE gift to her from the Swap Squad :)

I figure I'm due a year off. I brought over 100 plants last year in pre-trades. LOL

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!

Greetings All!

I'm trying to get plants started for a permaculture food forest so I'm mostly interested in perennial edibles though I'm open to other things as well like garden tools and books (see list). I do mess around with propagating so cuttings from some of these might just be ok too. :)

-Hardy kiwi
-Any typical fruiting trees/bushes/vines
-Nut trees
-Jujube tree
-Everbearing strawberries
-Rhubarb
-Asparagus
-Weird berry canes like honeyberries, tayberries, jostaberries
-Gold or yellow raspberry canes
-Thornless red raspberry canes or blackberry canes
-Red or white currants
-Pomegranate
-Green gooseberries
-Gogi
-Goumi berry
-Herbs for cooking or tea and medicinal plants
-I'm open to other plants that are good for pollinators or pretty perennials as I don't have many
-Asiatic/ornamental? lily (the pink ones with the white borders that smell good)
-Peonies
-Dinner plate dahlias
-Books on permaculture, propagation methods, canning, farming, homesteading
-Garden hand weeder
-Garden hoe
-Propagation supplies

I plan to get my have list up in a few days.

I'm always open to most kinds of blooming plant. We are on a farm so don't have any space constraints. I've been gradually adding various colors of iris thanks to the generosity of the plant swappers and other friends. I have plenty of light purple, but am open to anything. I found clearance perennial violas at Walmart yesterday, but I love Johnny-Jump-Ups. I also love old roses.

I bought a lot of plants from the local high school (15 flats), but I'm always interested in heirloom tomato varieties.
Also on the lookout for berries (blueberries especially).

I'm also sort of on the hunt for some trees to create a "wind break". I never thought it would happen, but someone is about to start building a house on the steep ridge behind me. Not exactly sure where they are going to build, but I need to plant trees to keep me from seeing them. I can probably find some tiny ones around the farm to transplant.

I don't have a lot to trade, but I'm bringing books and magazines (gardening, cookbooks and mags, and some misc). Also some leftover herb and veggie seeds. I'll be going through the garden shed to see what else needs a new home.

I look forward to seeing everyone.

Limelight hydrangeas
Fountain grass and variety, but red especially
A good beef steak tomato or interesting variety
Sun gold cherry tomatoes
Irises
Melons

Honestly, I just love to grow things. I love the plant swap because I always come home with things I’ve never tried and being surprised brings me a lot of joy in the garden.

So if there is anything you want I have, I am happy to make a trade for anything. My wants are not exclusive to this list. Thanks!
