Is the Chinese ginger Asarum splendens, Asarum delavayi, Boesenbergia rotunda, or something else?

Brandon,
I’m not sure. I received it years ago at the plant swap. I tried to get an id with the app and it comes up heartleaf, evergreen wild ginger or little brown jug ( hexastylis arifolia. It is so pretty with the Japanese painted ferns.

If the leaves look like little brown jug, it won't be Boesenbergia rotunda. The leaf-shape/form of that plant is totally different. It sounds like one of the Asarums, and, if it's Chinese, it's most likely to be Asarum splendens. You can find pictures of that plant pretty easily online.

Mary,

I would like a queen of the night tomato & and elderberry.
I will post my list of flowers tomorrow.
Thank you.

Mary: I got your message about the rose. I just checked your list...is the poppy a plant start or is it seed? I know they can be hard to transplant, but I've always loved poppies and haven't had any success getting them started.

Kim, I had some in my garden last year and had lots come up this year. I dug a lot around them and potted them about 3 weeks ago when they were very small. They seem to be growing

Can I get a Chinese ginger, if you still have it?

Thanks, Mary. The poppies sound great. Also...I have another smaller gallica rose. Would you like to have it?
