Thank you for the compliment, Mark!by Brandon7 - Swap Forum Announcements - please read!
Even though it was raining, we had a record turnout for a fall swap. In total, we had either 37 or 38 swappers. Typically, we have around 20 to 25 at fall swaps. Some, unfortunately, showed up after most everyone else had left. It rained almost the whole time, but not real hard, so it was survivable, especially with an umbrella. I was able to find homes for quite a few plants, and got more plby Brandon7 - Fall 2020 Results
Hey Mark, I don't know if I have anything you are interested in, but, if so, I'd love to make some swaps with you. The thing I'd probably like the most is 28. Phyllostachys nigra IF you could get one with a pretty well developed root system. I got one from you before but it never sprouted any roots. I still have the spot that I planted it in reserved in case I ever got a chanceby Brandon7 - Fall 2020 Have

That's a good choice Kellie! I got that plant as a surplus/freebie before it bloomed. I don't usually care a lot for white/cream-colored flowers, and didn't think I'd be impressed with it. Then it bloomed. It was gorgeous! I'll reserve it for you.by Brandon7 - Spring 2020 Have
I had forgotten about name tags! I am pretty sure I ran out last time. If anyone has extras, please bring them. I am not sure I will be able to get to the store to get them before next Saturday.by Brandon7 - Spring 2020 Discussion
Could I get the Walter's viburnum? Do you know if it's a cultivar or just straight species?by Brandon7 - Spring 2020 Have
Frances, I have a peperomia obtusifolia/magnoliifolia variegata for you too. It's the one we talked about last year. I just recently realized I don't know which one of these similar species it is.by Brandon7 - Spring 2020 Have
I know this stuff is almost impossible to find at the stores, but, if anyone has hand sanitizer they could bring, it would be greatly appreciated. I think that's one thing we need to be safe(r) with this virus threat.by Brandon7 - Spring 2020 Discussion
I will reserve one for you, Traci.by Brandon7 - Spring 2020 Have
I think it's still possible to have a small and time-limited version of the spring swap, BUT we will have to do it a little different this year. I anticipate having far fewer people, and I don't plan on doing any advertisement or promotion to bring in any new participants. I have canceled our reservation at New Harvest Park. I don't think we'll have enough people to warranby Brandon7 - Spring 2020 Discussion

No, I think it's fine just the way you have it. There isn't much activity on here yet (still pretty early), but hopefully a few more people will see it and give you feedback. You can always edit/add later on.by Brandon7 - Spring 2020 Have
Hey Salviaflower...welcome to the website. I think all of the stuff you mentioned would be interesting to me, and I think it would go over very well. I will say that sometimes I am not the best at predicting what people will want. A lot of times I bring really rare neat stuff and there's not much interest. There's also been times when I have wondered if anyone would possibly be interby Brandon7 - Spring 2020 Have
Huernias, except for zebrina (which I already have). Known-cultivar mulberry. I already have "Dwarf Everbearing", but would like anything else as long as you know which cultivar it is. Any known-cultivar osage orange. Thornless cultivars would be extra dreamy. I will be shocked if anyone has this, but I can always hope. 1-gallon (trade gallon) injection-molded or thermoformed/coby Brandon7 - Spring 2020 Want
Today's swap went well. We had 24 attendees (not including the two kittens). That's about average for a fall swap. Quite a few (about half) stayed for the potluck lunch this time. Everything I ate was really really good. At least some attendees were first-time swappers. I think everyone left with more plants than they expected. Some that said they were coming, didn't show up.by Brandon7 - Fall 2019 Results
Also from Martha (moved here from another topic): Barrett has made reusable signs for each of the "regulars" to use to mark your spaces. We will take them up and return for each swap. We always have questions as to whose items are on which table, this ought to help. He also made a sign to go out front as we always have visitors who are wondering what is going on. I think we'll try the fall potluck one more time. We'll probably bring some mini sandwiches (not sure what yet).by Brandon7 - Fall 2019 Discussion
I'm not sure Leigh. I like to have the potluck, but we didn't have many people interested in staying for it last fall. Maybe others can add input? Readers, what do you think?by Brandon7 - Fall 2019 Discussion
DLundy, I have a bunch of different holiday cactuses. Some are either too small or too slow growing to take cuttings from, but I think I could get cuttings (at least small ones) from any of the list below. There are the same as the ones I brought for the spring swap, so the cuttings won't be large but should be big enough to easily root and grow. Let me know which you'd like.
