How'd things go?
Leigh,
You are welcome. I just wish I had better facilities here (bathrooms, shelter, etc).

Fall 2023 Have
Multiple types of Tradescantia. These work great for hanging baskets (they are relatively fast growing vines).
Begonia rooted cutting
Baby trees, but I'm not sure which ones I will be bringing, yet.
Asimina triloba (pawpaw) seeds - these are from my orchard, so they are likely to produce trees with fruit superior to wild pawpaw trees.
Aesculus pavia (red buckeye) seeds

Thanks for everyone that came to the Spring 2023 East Tennessee Plant Swap today. We only had around 45 people, but it was still a lot of fun!
I found homes for all the plants I took, and I came home with a few neat plants and some awesome pots.
We had a few people that didn't understand how the swap works. We don't sell things and we don't take things without asking. Hopef

Spring 2023 Have
We had a wonderful swap today! Thank you to everyone that came out and participated. We had at least 50 attendees, which is an all-time record for a FALL swap.
Personally, I was able to find homes for every single plant I brought and came home with some really cool stuff. Just a couple of days before the swap, I had been looking though a nursery's website wishing I had a certain kinda r

I haven't grown an Acer pensylvanicum because all my maples so far are in full sun. I plan on expanding into a wooded area, but I haven't gotten that area cleaned out yet and that maple, I believe, really needs at least a little shade. If you have an extra one, let me know and I will work on making a space for it if you want to trade it.

Steve, I'd love to trade for a Begonia grandis. Do you happen to have any interesting, small-growing maples that could take full sun? I've started a maple collection and have five or six species so far.

The rain stopped Friday night and the weather was wonderful for the swap. We ended up with about 55 people, including a couple that showed up after most everyone else had gone. I'm going to try to remember to post an ending time for the swap next time so people know it's not an all-day event. I found homes for all the plants I brought, which was wonderful. I still have a few new plan

1-gallon (trade gallon) thermoformed/co-extruded/euro nursery pots. These pots are the thin but long-lasting pots, with holes only in the bottom, like Proven Winners plants come in. I really like these types of pots because they hold up well in the sun and tend to last a long time with use. I really don't need more blow-mold (standard cheap pots that break down pretty quickly) right now.

Spring 2022 Want
Mark, your message came through. I think you just forgot to check the "Keep A Copy In My Sent Items" box, so that's why it doesn't show on your end. I tried to get that box defaulted to that value, but something in the PHP code is not working and I haven't figured out what, yet.
P.S. I sure hope to see you at the swap!

Spring 2022 Want
We had a record turnout, for a fall swap! There were 45 people and 1 dog. Thankfully the weather was great and temperatures were very comfortable.
I do wish more people had taken advantage of the pot-luck lunch. The food was really good, but a lot went uneaten. Maybe we'll skip the lunch next year. There just seems to be less and less interest in the meal. I can remember only a few y

Fall 2021 Want
Somehow Martha's list got mixed up into someone else's post, so I am moving it to here:
I'm bringing bee traps, 5 gallon buckets (new/ clean), and boxes for packing what we share/loading etc.
I have about 20 buckets, so if you want one, see me at the beginning.
I'll have at least 5 bee/wasps/yellow jacket traps. These cost $16 to $20 in the stores, so glad to have th
