Valerie, if you have a place for them, I will bring you all the Sans that aren't already spoken for (probably around 4, but not sure at this point).

Jacie, Kim, and Frances I have your requests marked. When it stops raining, maybe I can find some more good stuff in need of a new home.

A typical trade-gallon thermoformed pot (the thin walled pots that are sometimes colored black inside but green or brown on the outside) measures 6.25"(top) x 5.75"(bottom) x 6.25"(height). Even though they are thin, these usually last a long time.
Trade-gallon injection-molded pots (thick, usually smooth walled) vary quite a bit but would sometimes come with about the same meas

1-gallon (trade gallon) or about that size nursery pots. I prefer injection-molded pots or thermoformed/co-extruded/euro pots, but I could also use the old standard blow-mold type pots if they are in good condition (they deteriorate more quickly in sunlight, when left out).

Spring 2018 Want
As long as the transplants grow, I will probably have S. pinguicula, S. cylindrica v. patula, S. trifasciata 'Moonshine', S. trifasciata 'Futura Simplex', and maybe a couple of Sans species which I cannot positively ID.
I also have some small Mammillaria elongata and cuttings from various named holiday cactuses. I do have a small Epiphyllum anguliger, but I'll have to

Kim, I'm interested in a Corn Iris. I don't have much posted yet, but if you see something you'd like (now, or when I get more posted), keep me in mind. I have multiple species of iris, but not that one.

Spring 2018 Have
We had a great time today. 27 swappers attended. The weather was great, although the wind kicked up a time or two to cool everyone off. I found homes for all of my plants and came home with some really nice stuff! Many of us enjoyed chatting while stuffing our faces with the pot-luck delicacies.

Fall 2017 Results
I won't have much this time. We have moved into a new house and all our spare time has been consumed by that.
I have some extra house plants and cuttings (mostly succulents) that could use a new home. I will only bring them (many of them anyways) if someone specifically asks for them. If anyone wanted to become a succulent-aholic, I could give them a good start.

Fall 2017 Have
It does seem like less people are using this forum each time. Attendance has been good at the swaps but the activity on here has been less. Don't let the response on here make you think no one is coming, because lower activity on here has not correlated with a lower attendance at previous swaps.

Fall 2017 Discussion
I think we will have a decent turn out (for a fall swap). A number of people have said they are going. I have been less active because I was moving (just got my computer set back up a few minutes ago).

Kim, your PM almost certainly went through. One reason it might look like it didn't work is that, unless you check to keep a copy of the reply, the email probably won't show up, to you, once you send it. However, when Frances logs on, the message should be waiting for her.

Spring 2017 Want
In the past, this has been the weekend with the least amount of conflicts. We've been "fine-tuning" the dates for years. As I understand it, UT's Bloomsday is no longer happening, so that may free up or change up the calendar a little.
More comments/opinions about this would be welcome. Is earlier or later better?

Spring 2017 Discussion
I agree, the swap went off well. We had about 42 attendees, which is less than many other recent swaps but still a pretty good turnout. It was a little windier than I would have liked, but, other than that, the weather was great. I ended up finding homes for everything I brought and ended up taking home more new plants than I had planned. The food was great. I wish I had a few of the recipes.

OK Grammy, I didn't see anything I need on the list, but I have you down for the iris you requested.
Amy, the geranium I have left is not real pretty (it lost a lot of leaves before it stabilized, after transplant). I do believe it will be fine, though. Would you be interested in trading a strawberry mint for it? My strawberry mint died.

I really, really hope people will plan on staying for the pot-luck lunch! That has been the highlight of the swap in previous years, but has had fewer participants recently. Please! plan on staying for the meal and bring something good to eat. Remember, you only need to bring about the same quantity of food that you plan to eat because everyone will be bringing stuff.

Valerie, that would be fine. If you want to do a raffle, you'd have to bring "tickets" (or pieces of paper used to draw names/numbers). Last year, Martha used numbers on little pieces of paper from what I remember.
Sorry for the delay, but, for some reason, I had overlooked this post, and it accidentally got marked as read.

If you are new to our Swap Forum, you will need to sign up before you can post to the forums. The email system is not working yet, so please be patient and I will try to approve members as quickly as possible (hopefully, at least once per day during the busy times a month or so prior to each swap and maybe less frequently in between swaps). Swap Forum Announcements - please read!
The East Tennessee Plant Swap is an entirely free event, but it does cost the coordinators a little to reserve the park and pay for hosting services for this website. A donation of two or three dollars per person, with a maximum of five dollars per family, would help us cover these expenses. A donation jar can be found at each swap event. No money is required to attend the swap and nothing will

Swap Forum Announcements - please read!
The East Tennessee Plant Swap would like to strongly suggest that participants refrain from growing, planting, or swapping plants that are invasive (environmentally damaging) to our local ecosystem. Invasive plants are more than just fast growers and rapid reseeders...they are plants that cause significant displacement or harm to native populations of plants or animals. Not all weedy/aggressive

Swap Forum Announcements - please read!
Initially, it was decided that the East Tennessee Plant Swap's website would be hosted by GoDaddy. That turned out to be a HUGE mistake! GoDaddy was a horrible, terrible, awful company. They were rarely helpful, consistently difficult to deal with, and out to take advantage of their customers at every opportunity.
In early 2017, it was determined that we absolutely had to change hosts.
